Server in Wheeling, Illinois at ALA CARTE ENTERTAINMENT INC

We’re looking for friendly, energetic servers and bartenders to join our team. If you enjoy a fast-paced environment, great food, and connecting with guests, this is the spot for you.

Server Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and create a welcoming atmosphere
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
• Make menu recommendations, including beer, cocktails, and daily specials
• Deliver food and drinks in a timely manner
• Check back with guests to ensure satisfaction and handle concerns professionally
• Enter orders into the POS system and process payments
• Maintain clean and organized tables and service stations
• Follow all food safety and alcohol service regulations
• Work closely with bartenders and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
• Assist with opening, closing, and side work as assigned

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous serving experience preferred (casual or fine dining a plus)
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Knowledge of beer, spirits, and Italian food is a plus
• Comfortable handling cash and credit card transactions
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods
• Ability to lift trays and plates
• Team-oriented, reliable, and positive attitude
