About This Position

The LSE Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization
* based in New York, invites applications for an experienced Events Manager to lead a comprehensive cultivation, stewardship, and alumni engagement events program across the United States and Canada on behalf of the London School of Economics and Political Science. This position is a key contributor to LSE Foundation’s global advancement and supporter relations strategy, with a focus on delivering high-profile engagement events that strengthen relationships with alumni, donors, and volunteer leaders.

Minimum requirements

Flagship and Strategic Events
• Plan, coordinate, and deliver major events across North America, including Presidential receptions, stewardship dinners, and bespoke engagements.
• Partner with the Campaign Volunteer Manager to execute the North American Campaign Board’s annual program.
• Collaborate with LSE colleagues in London to ensure best-practice operations.

Alumni Engagement and Leadership Support
• Support US-based Alumni Engagement colleagues with event logistics.
• Coordinate engagements during senior leadership travel, including meetings and roundtables.
• Serve as primary contact for cultivation and stewardship events in North America.

Communications and Event Coordination
• Manage all event communications including invitations, briefings, and vendor coordination.
• Lead the North America portion of LSE’s alumni and supporter events calendar.
• Produce post-event summaries and collaborate on communications content.

Data, Evaluation and Administrative Support
• Use data-driven objectives and evaluation for events.
• Track attendance and engagement trends using the CRM system.
• Oversee office-related needs and maintain event materials.

Required Qualifications
• Experience in event planning, coordination, and execution (higher education or non-profit preferred).
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ease working with senior stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently across time zones.
• Commitment to confidentiality, service excellence, and inclusion.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team and to work cooperatively with other staff.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and experience handling highly confidential information.
• Energy, enthusiasm, flexibility, creativity and an entrepreneurial spirit are essential
• Ability to travel and to work evenings to fulfil events commitments.
Additional Information
• The role is hybrid, with 40% of work from LSE Foundation’s Hudson’s Yard-based office. Further programmatic work within North America is required; travel within the region and occasional travel to the UK and Latin America is expected.
• Flexibility is required as duties may evolve to meet program needs.
