About This Position

Maintenance Technician

Location: Sturgeon Bay, WI
Job Type: Temp to Perm, M-TH 5:55am to 4:25pm
Reports To: Tooling Manager-Steve Brahmstadt

We're looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Facility Maintenance Technician to help keep our buildings, equipment, and systems running smoothly, safely, and efficiently. What You’ll Do:

  • Conduct routine inspections and perform preventive maintenance on facility systems and equipment
  • Service HVAC systems: replace filters, clean ducts, and troubleshoot performance issues
  • Inspect and maintain electrical systems, including lighting and wiring
  • Perform plumbing repairs: fix leaks, unclog drains, and maintain fixtures
  • Complete light carpentry work, including repairing doors, windows, and furniture
  • Paint and finish surfaces for upkeep and aesthetics
  • Maintain outdoor areas: landscaping, snow removal, and general upkeep
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment and machinery
  • Respond quickly to emergency repair requests
  • Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and work orders
  • Install and set up new equipment and ensure proper functionality
  • Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external contractors
  • Provide excellent service to internal teams by addressing facility-related concerns
  • What We’re Looking For:

    Experience & Skills:

  • Previous experience in facility maintenance, building services, or similar role
  • Strong troubleshooting and repair skills across multiple disciplines (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
  • Comfortable using hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and basic power tools
  • Proficiency with computers and mobile devices, including:Email and communication tools
  • Work Order Management Systems and CMMS softwareMicrosoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Familiarity with BAS (Building Automation Systems) and maintenance software

    Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move around the facility for extended periods
  • Manual dexterity for working with small tools and components
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
  • Good vision and hearing to safely identify issues and communicate in a noisy environment
  • Willingness to follow all safety procedures and wear PPE as required
  • Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Technical training or certifications in maintenance-related trades preferred
