Job Description

Position Summary

This position is responsible for program management and coordination supporting the execution of Building & Construction (B&C) team programs and activities. The position is further responsible for coordinating and delivering a wide range of member-driven initiatives across advocacy, technical programs, and industry engagement. This position will also lead program coordination and management for North American Modern Building Alliance, including its annual symposium, and will support the activities of the Foam Sheathing Committee. The position reports directly to the Director, Plastic Building and Construction.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Leads the delivery of programs and activities under North American Modern Building Alliance, including its annual Building Fire Safety Symposium, and manages the planning and execution of the Symposium and related program deliverables, including organization, materials development, and stakeholder coordination.Working closely with the Director, Plastic Building and Construction, manages day-to-day operations, coordinates internal and external processes, and supports the development and delivery of program materials and communications.Directs and manages assigned member committees, subcommittees, and working groups, ensuring effective agenda-setting, consensus-building, and timely decision-making.Supports the day-to-day operations of B&C programs and initiatives, including the Foam Sheathing Committee, by coordinating and executing meetings and committee activities, including scheduling, agenda development, preparation and distribution of materials, and drafting meeting minutes.Drafts, formats, and manages presentations, reports, summaries, and member communications for B&C programs and initiatives.Manages external consultants and vendors, including scopes of work, deliverables, budgets, and performance for assigned portfolio.Manages invoicing coordination and support financial tracking and reporting for B&C programs, including expense monitoring and documentation.Tracks program activities, timelines, deliverables, and key milestones to ensure B&C initiatives remain organized and on schedule.Maintains and updates program records and systems, including member rosters, contact lists, committee lists, and internal tracking tools.Coordinates with internal teams and external stakeholders to support execution of advocacy, technical, and member-driven initiatives.Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

Required

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field5 years of relevant experience in program management or project coordination, preferably in a trade association, nonprofit, or similar member-driven environmentExperience supporting policy, regulatory, or advocacy-related initiativesDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and stakeholders simultaneouslyStrong time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail, with the ability to manage complex coordination and competing prioritiesStrong written and verbal communication skills, including drafting presentations, meeting materials, and summariesAbility to quickly learn complex regulatory and policy issuesAbility to work collaboratively across internal teams and external stakeholdersAbility to travel, as needed.

Demonstrated experience working on challenging issues with diverse stakeholdersExperience working in a trade association or membership-based organizationExperience supporting committees, boards, or multi-stakeholder working groupsExperience planning or supporting conferences, events, or large-scale programsAn interest in sustainability, energy efficiency, and building construction
