Product Line Manager - Routing & Switching Innovation

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Product Line Manager – Routing & Switching Innovation in Canada.

This role sits at the intersection of advanced networking technologies and next-generation AI-driven transformation within service provider environments. You will be responsible for shaping the strategy and evolution of an IP routing portfolio, with a strong focus on innovation, automation, and intelligent network operations. The position requires close collaboration with global service providers to understand emerging needs in AI-enabled networking, while translating those insights into actionable product direction. You will influence long-term roadmap decisions and help define how routing solutions evolve in highly complex, large-scale infrastructures. Working cross-functionally with engineering, product peers, and go-to-market teams, you will play a key role in driving product differentiation and market adoption. This is a highly strategic and technically grounded role, operating in a fast-moving environment where networking and AI converge to redefine service provider capabilities.

Accountabilities
  • Define and lead innovation strategy for IP routing solutions, identifying differentiated opportunities through market and technical analysis.
  • Engage with global service providers to understand network transformation trends, including AI-driven operations and new service models.
  • Translate customer and market needs into detailed product requirements and multi-year strategic roadmaps in collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Lead proof-of-concept initiatives to validate innovative solutions and accelerate customer adoption.
  • Contribute to portfolio alignment across product lines, ensuring cohesive and scalable solution development.
  • Develop thought leadership content, including roadmaps, whitepapers, presentations, and value propositions to support customer and sales engagement.
  • Promote AI-enabled networking capabilities such as predictive analytics, automation, and intent-based operations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline; advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in product management, technical strategy, or solution architecture within networking, telecom, or cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong expertise in IP routing protocols such as OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, MPLS, Segment Routing (SR-MPLS, SRv6), VXLAN, multicast, and QoS.
  • Deep understanding of service provider network architectures (core, metro, edge, access, cloud, and data center interconnect).
  • Experience with AI-driven networking use cases such as predictive analytics, anomaly detection, automation, and traffic optimization.
  • Strong ability to communicate complex technical and strategic concepts to both engineering and executive audiences.
  • Proven capability to collaborate across product portfolios and align cross-functional teams around shared objectives.
  • Experience engaging with Tier 1 or Tier 2 service providers is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with machine learning platforms, telemetry systems, and cloud-native architectures is a plus.
