Position Summary:
Responsible for all aspects of the DDA (checking account) application. Rotation of duties to serve as backup to three other areas of the operations department (ACH, Cards and Wires/Online Banking). Assist with customer calls in all areas of Deposit Operations.
Role and Responsibilities
- Perform review and maintenance to existing accounts on system
- Verify all DDA related signature cards/documents are completed and accurate and completing follow-up as necessary
- Review various DDA reports and balance related general ledger accounts
- Process DDA non-posts, stop payments exceptions, and NSF
- Review Positive Pay
- Process Chargebacks
- Add stop payments to system
- Process check adjustments and correction of posting errors
- Place Holds on accounts and complete necessary follow-up
- Process incoming/outgoing Large Dollar Return Notifications
- Handle IBRETA and IOLTA accounts
- Handle customer inquiries courteously, tactfully and competently
- Saturday rotation in operations department
- Scan, sweep, index and verify documents in the bank’s imaging system
- Create and maintain operations procedure instructions
- Help maintain business continuity/disaster recovery plan
- Participates in training seminars and webinars; keep up to date with regulations and bank policies
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum of one-year related to clerical/administrative experience or training
- Banking and/or bank operations experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality of work
- Handle changing priorities in a deadline-oriented environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Outstanding customer service
