About This Position
The BHT is an essential direct-care staff member responsible for the daily supervision, safety, and support of our residents. This role involves providing direct behavioral health services under the clinical oversight of a Behavioral Health Professional (BHP).
Key Responsibilities
Provide continuous supervision and support to residents, ensuring their health and safety.
Implement therapeutic interventions and behavioral plans as directed by the BHP/Treatment Team.
Facilitate resident life skills groups and recreational activities.
Document resident progress, interactions, and incidents accurately in the clinical record.
Assist residents with the self-administration of medication (SAMR) in accordance with facility P&Ps.
Receive mandated clinical oversight from a BHP at least once during any two-week span when providing behavioral health services (R9-10-706.G.1.f).
Required Qualifications
Minimum High School Diploma or GED (or higher degree, as set by facility P&Ps).
Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
Valid Arizona Driver’s License and proof of current auto insurance (if transporting residents).
Ability to obtain an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.
Must meet the qualifications, skills, and knowledge established in the facility’s written job description (R9-10-706.B).
