Pharmacy Technician at Citizens Memorial – Bolivar, Missouri

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) in Bolivar, MO is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to join our staff in the Hospital Pharmacy Department! CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 long-term care facilities, and 1 residential care facility. Offering acute care, emergency services, ambulatory care, pharmacies, walk-in clinics, surgeries, addiction recovery, rehab therapies and more, CMH has its community covered!

About the Department: CMH's Hospital Pharmacy compounds and dispenses medications by means of standard physical and chemical procedures to fill medication orders and prescription requests issued by physicians and other qualified prescribers.

A typical day will include: Assisting the Pharmacist in a variety of pharmacy-related duties utilizing equipment, supplies, and procedures appropriate to the ages of the patients served while adhering to regulated standards and rules.

• Collects ingredients, measures, and prepares compounded products in accordance with CMH standard operating procedures
• Prepares and accurately labels medications for dispensing to patients
• Uses hospital software and equipment for medication tracking, profiling, and distribution
• Restocks inventory ensuring adequate supplies of medications are available
• Consistently documents work ensuring timely and accurate record-keeping

Job Requirements:

• Education: HS diploma or equivalent
• Experience: Hospital or retail pharmacy experience strongly preferred
• Skills: Computer proficiency, attention to detail, communication, and strong calculation abilities to quickly calculate drug dosages
• Licensure/Certification: Registered Pharmacy Technician in the State of Missouri by time of hire
• Physical: Prolonged periods of sitting and standing

The position is: Full-time days.
