HR Generalist at Tamaroff Motors Inc – Roseville, Michigan

The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and versatile HR Generalist to join The Tamaroff Group. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with experience in recruiting, onboarding, benefits, payroll, and general HR operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You’ll be an essential part of our HR team, supporting employees throughout their full lifecycle and helping maintain a positive, compliant, and people-focused workplace culture.

What You’ll Do

• Post job openings, review applicants, and coordinate the hiring process, including onboarding paperwork
• Set up new hires in systems, complete I-9s, and support onboarding communication and surveys
• Process payroll, manage timecards, and support benefits enrollment and updates
• Assist with terminations, exit interviews, and record updates
• Manage the employee recognition program
• Run and distribute regular HR reports, including new hire, termination, anniversary, and birthday reports
• Serve as a resource for employee relations, disciplinary actions, engagement initiatives, FMLA/leave administration, and compliance with labor laws
• Assist with Open Enrollment, EEO-1 reporting, and maintain familiarity with ESTA laws

Qualifications & Experience

• 2+ years of HR generalist experience; ADP Workforce Now and automotive industry experience is a plus
• Working knowledge of core HR functions, including payroll, benefits, and compliance

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS Systems (ADP Workforce Now, CDK, Employee Navigator preferred)
