Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

CAD Drafting & Documentation

Create and revise 2D and 3D CAD drawings for smoker assemblies, parts, and accessories
Develop detailed manufacturing drawings, including dimensions, tolerances, and notes
Maintain bills of materials (BOMs) and drawing revision history

Engineering & Manufacturing Support

Work closely with design engineers to translate concepts into production-ready drawings
Support manufacturing by providing accurate prints, cut lists, and assembly documentation
Assist with tooling, fixture, and assembly layout drawings

Change Management

Implement engineering change orders (ECOs) by updating drawings and related documentation
Ensure proper revision control and document release processes are followed
Archive obsolete drawings per company procedures

Quality & Compliance

Support quality investigations by updating or verifying drawing requirements
Ensure drawings align with company standards and applicable safety requirements
Assist with standardization of drawing templates and CAD practices

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Coordinate with manufacturing, sourcing, and quality teams to clarify drawing requirements
Communicate drawing changes and updates clearly to stakeholders

Qualifications:

Education & Experience

Associate degree or technical certification in CAD drafting, engineering technology, or a related field
2+ years of CAD drafting experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience with sheet metal, weldments, and assemblies preferred

Technical Skills

Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and basic GD&T
Familiarity with BOM structures and ERP systems is a plus

Soft Skills

Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good organizational and time-management skills
Ability to follow standards and work effectively with engineers and production teams
Clear written and verbal communication skills
