Position Title: Inventory Clerk
Description
Samtec is seeking an Inventory Clerk to join our team in Wilsonville, OR at our cable production site. This is a day shift position. The hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm. Pay is $22/hr to start. This position will require excellent organization, computer skills, time management and internal customer service skills. Various job duties include but not are not limited to movement of all materials between facilities, periodic cycle counts of all materials, fulfillment of inventory, and receiving duties as assigned.
Essential Functions/ Responsibilities:
- Ability to become Forklift & Reach Truck certified.
- Move all materials between shipping & receiving, point of use stations, and storage.
- Perform cycle counts of all materials within facility on a quarterly basis, more frequently for high turn products.
- Required to perform all other functions in Inventory as directed.
- Ability to work independently and as part of the team.
- Act as back up for shipping & receiving.
- Must have excellent computer skills Outlook, Excel, Word, Manufacturing Planning & Inventory Systems.
- Good task execution and follow up with a high sense of urgency.
- Ability to coordinate various activities simultaneously.
- Filing and archiving documents such as: material certs, shop orders, and engineering folders.
The responsibilities as defined are intended to serve as a general guideline for this position. Associates may be asked to perform additional tasks depending on strengths and capabilities.
Required Experience:
- Similar experience in a manufacturing site.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs. from floor to waist routinely (push, pull, lift required)
- Must be able to sit/stand for at least 90 consecutive minutes.
- Good written communication skills.
- Demonstrated work ethic and attendance.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail.
- Must have a high sense of urgency.
- Customer service focus.
- Basic computer skills.
Preferred Education:
High School Diploma or GED.
