Business Process Specialist, Business Insurance

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Business Process Specialist, Business Insurance based in the United States.

This is an opportunity to help shape and standardize business insurance processes within a large, nationally distributed organization.
You will work at the intersection of insurance operations, process design, technology, and business transformation.
Partnering with business process leadership and regional stakeholders, you will help create efficient, consistent workflows that make the most of existing technology.
Your work will directly support system configuration, reporting, documentation, client deliverables, and employee training.
The role offers broad exposure to cross-functional projects and the opportunity to influence how teams operate across multiple markets.

This is a remote full-time position, with some travel and occasional weekend work required around scheduled system migrations.

Accountabilities
  • Partner with the Business Process Leader to design, refine, and standardize workflows within the Business Insurance line of business.
  • Participate in working groups with national and regional stakeholders to develop consistent, scalable processes across the organization.
  • Evaluate existing workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, consistency, and overall effectiveness.
  • Apply industry best practices and process improvement methodologies to enhance business procedures and operational workflows.
  • Support the configuration and optimization of agency management systems, including platforms such as Applied Epic.
  • Document business processes, procedures, workflows, and operating standards to promote consistency and effective adoption.
  • Design reporting outputs that provide stakeholders with relevant operational and performance insights.
  • Develop client deliverables and supporting materials aligned with business and process requirements.
  • Lead and support training initiatives to help colleagues effectively adopt new processes, systems, and workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into practical process and technology solutions.
  • Manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously while maintaining strong prioritization, organization, and follow-through.
  • Support system migrations and related implementation activities, including occasional weekend work when required.
  • Travel periodically for business meetings, implementations, workshops, or other role-related activities.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in Business Insurance, preferably within an insurance brokerage environment and in a client-facing or business process role.
  • Strong understanding of insurance brokerage operations and Business Insurance workflows.
  • Demonstrated critical-thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices that enhance efficiency, quality, and effectiveness.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to balance multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow through on deliverables and maintain a high standard of accuracy and quality.
  • Hands-on experience with agency management systems such as Applied Epic.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with national, regional, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to understand complex business requirements and translate them into practical workflows, procedures, and technology solutions.
  • Permanent and ongoing authorization to work in the United States without requiring current or future sponsorship.
  • Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce is a plus.
  • Experience creating, maintaining, and managing procedure documentation is preferred.
