Job Summary:
The Certified Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for receiving, verifying and ordering prescriptions. Coordinates all aspects of processing pharmaceuticals through identified vendor.
Location:
Suffolk House of Correction, Boston
Hours:
Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM
Rate Range:
$25–$30 per hour, based on years of experience
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all aspects of pharmaceutical program.
- Verifies delivered medications for accuracy utilizing the faxed Physician Order Sheet and the Pharmacy Packing List.
- Inventories stock supplies and replenishes stock as necessary within the CPS pharmacy.
- Removes out-of-date and stop-date medications.
- Keeps accurate records as directed by the D.O.N.
- Maintains current pharmaceutical library.
- Maintains the pharmacy area in a clean and orderly manner.
- It is an essential part of the job that CPS can ask the employee to work beyond his/her regularly scheduled hours.
- Follow all security rules and regulations.
- Performs other duties as required including medical records.
Requirements:
- High School Graduate
- Pharmacy Technician Certification
- Must be able to pass a facility background check
