Sourcing & Quotations Manager - Technology

Summary: The Sourcing & Quotations Manager - Technology leads sourcing and quotation activities for the Technology vertical. This role develops and executes sourcing strategies that support sales growth, profitability, supplier performance, cost reduction, and supply chain risk mitigation. The manager oversees the quotations function, leads and develops team members, and partners cross-functionally with program management, procurement, service center leadership, and suppliers to improve pricing, responsiveness, and customer outcomes. A qualified candidate will be able to perform the following tasks:

Develop and execute the Technology vertical sourcing strategy, with emphasis on sales growth, profitability, risk mitigation, supplier development, and supplier performance.Lead cost-reduction initiatives through best-cost-country sourcing, supplier rationalization, long-term agreements, new supplier development, forward buys, and freight optimization.Align forecasted commodity spend with strategic suppliers through long-term or fixed-price agreements, favorable commercial terms, and volume incentives.Identify, evaluate, and develop global suppliers that can meet technical, quality, cost, lead-time, and customer schedule requirements.Negotiate competitive material costs, terms and conditions, lead times, and other commercial requirements that support customer demand and business objectives.Partner with program management and procurement teams to resolve supply chain gaps through alternate-part sourcing, supplier escalation, expediting, and other practical solutions.Collaborate with service center leadership and program management to remain aligned with sales forecasts and gross-margin improvement targets, adjusting quotation pricing strategies as appropriate.Oversee the Technology quotations function and establish, monitor, and improve key performance metrics, including quote turnaround time, quote accuracy, and hit rate.Lead new-business quotations and implementation support, ensuring technical reviews are completed, global sourcing opportunities are evaluated, and preferred suppliers are engaged.Assess quotation workload, assign priorities, delegate work, and provide direct support as needed to achieve service and performance expectations.Lead, coach, and manage direct reports, including performance management, development planning, compensation recommendations, training, and other personnel matters in partnership with Human Resources.Coordinate third-party staffing needs and related performance or administrative matters in partnership with appropriate internal teams.Champion onboarding and change management for adoption of the supplier portal and its available functionality.Build productive relationships across service centers and with supplier representatives to improve supply continuity, responsiveness, and execution.Travel as needed to support customer and supplier meetings, audits, and other business assessments. Other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: The Sourcing & Quotations Manager - Technology must possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience.Five or more years of professional sourcing, purchasing, procurement, or related supply chain experience.Strong technical acumen and knowledge of industrial products and supplier markets.Demonstrated leadership experience, including direct-report oversight, effective delegation, coaching, and performance management.Proven ability to develop supplier relationships and sourcing strategies that address business and customer requirements.Demonstrated ability to identify global or best-cost-country sourcing opportunities and negotiate favorable pricing, terms, conditions, and lead times.Strategic and analytical mindset, with the ability to implement solutions that improve efficiency, reduce cost, and support sales and profitability.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve escalations in a timely, practical manner.Excellent organizational, prioritization, multitasking, and time-management skills.Ability to work effectively across functions and with service center personnel, program management, procurement teams, and supplier representatives.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Advanced computer and analytical skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience with Power BI, Smartsheet, or comparable tools.Ability and willingness to travel based on business needs.
