Assembler - First Shift (5:00 am to 1:30 pm)

Summary
The Assembler is responsible for assembling sign components, metal frames, hardware, and related materials according to shop drawings, specifications, and work orders.
The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and interested in hands-on manufacturing and fabrication work. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in sign manufacturing, metal fabrication, and industrial assembly.
Essential Functions/Job Responsibilities
Assemble metal frames, sign structures, hardware, and related components according to shop drawings, specifications, and work orders.
Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, diagrams, and production documents.
Use hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and other shop equipment safely and effectively.
Measure, align, fit, fasten, and secure components to ensure accurate assembly.
Inspect completed assemblies for proper fit, alignment, finish, dimensions, and functionality.
Identify and communicate material, assembly, or quality issues to the Assembly Lead or supervisor.
Follow established production procedures and quality standards.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Work cooperatively with assembly, fabrication, production, and supervisory teams to meet production schedules and deadlines.
Handle materials and components safely and responsibly.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Experience/Requirements
Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, fabrication, metalwork, construction, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Interest in hands-on fabrication, manufacturing, and production work.
Basic knowledge of and ability to safely use hand tools and power tools.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with metal materials, hardware, and components.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
Ability to read and understand basic shop drawings, blueprints, diagrams, and work orders, or willingness to learn.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods throughout the workday.
Ability to regularly bend, kneel, reach, climb, and perform repetitive motions as required.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials or components weighing up to 50 pounds when necessary.
Ability to safely handle tools, materials, and equipment used in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to work in an industrial/manufacturing environment with exposure to typical levels of noise, dust, metal materials, and varying temperatures.
Ability to wear required PPE, which may include safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and other protective equipment.
Ability to follow all applicable company safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
