Position SummaryThe Assembler is responsible for assembling components and finished products according to specifications, work instructions, and quality standards. This role requires attention to detail, safe use of tools and equipment, and the ability to work efficiently as part of a production team.
Key Responsibilities- Read and follow blueprints, diagrams, work orders, and assembly instructions.
- Assemble parts and components using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and production equipment.
- Inspect materials and completed assemblies for defects, accuracy, and compliance with quality standards.
- Test assembled products or components when required.
- Report defective materials, equipment issues, and production concerns to the supervisor.
- Maintain accurate production, inspection, and material records.
- Meet established production schedules and productivity targets.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety requirements.
- Follow company policies, safety procedures, and quality-control processes.
- Assist with packaging, labeling, inventory handling, and other production duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous assembly, manufacturing, warehouse, or production experience preferred.
- Ability to read and follow written instructions, diagrams, and basic measurements.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use common hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Manual dexterity and visual acuity sufficient to handle small components and inspect completed work.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.
Work is performed in a manufacturing or production environment and may involve exposure to noise, moving machinery, dust, and varying temperatures. Employees must follow all applicable safety procedures and use required protective equipment.
