Job Description

Description:

The Director of Procurement is responsible for managing all service and supply contracts across Ensemble and Symphony Facility operations and it’s entities, and overseeing procurement compliance. This role evaluates, bids, and awards facilities project contracts while providing project management oversight to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness. As a key leader, this position builds strong supplier relationships, drives sourcing excellence, and collaborates cross-functionally to support clinical, operational, and financial outcomes.

- Serve as the primary point of contact between Ensemble, Symphony, and its entities, and suppliers; building strong, positive business relationships.

- Identify, vet, and select potential suppliers based on evolving organizational purchasing requirements.

- Continuously evaluate contracts and suppliers for quality, performance, and cost optimization.

- Manage and optimize daily use of Purchasing Software.

- Lead all bidding, negotiation, and awarding of facilities project contracts.

- Oversee contract maintenance and ensure contractual compliance across facilities.

- Provide project management oversight for facilities-related initiatives, ensuring alignment with operational and financial goals.

- Work collaboratively with clinical and operations teams to manage product formularies and support organization-wide procurement needs.

- Coordinate onboarding of new suppliers and troubleshoot supplier-related issues in partnership with operations teams.

- Regular and reliable attendance.

- Perform other tasks as required.

- Ability to work with people with physical and mental disabilities including those using profanity, derogatory language and the like.

Requirements:

Education, Training, and Experience:

- A Bachelor’s Degree required.

- BS in business-related fields like Business Management, Finance, or Accounting is preferred.

- Procurement: 1 year (Required)

- Purchasing: 1 year (Required)

- Healthcare experience is strongly preferred, with a strong preference given to long term care.

- Purchasing compliance & reporting experience is preferred.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
