Internship Overview

You won't be running coffee orders or shuffling paperwork this summer. At Fervo, interns are handed something real: a project of your own, scoped with your manager on day one and yours to drive for the full 12 weeks. You'll work side-by-side with the teams building the next generation of geothermal energy, tackling problems that genuinely move the business forward. At the end of the summer, you'll present your work to our executive leadership team, department leads, and fellow interns, sharing real results with a real audience. This is a real seat at the table — and a real shot at what comes next.

Position Description

Fervo Energy is developing next-generation geothermal power to deliver firm, carbon-free energy at scale, anchored by our flagship Cape Station project in Milford, Utah. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented first year MBA or master's student to join our team as a Strategy Intern, supporting a wide range of strategic initiatives crucial to our rapidly growing company, from landscaping diversified offtake markets to engaging external stakeholders, including collaborators, policymakers, and community members.

You'll have the opportunity to work on diverse projects that require adaptability and a multi-faceted skillset, supporting the strategy team in guiding decision-makers through long-term growth opportunities and bringing a fresh, diverse perspective to the table.

Requirements:

Responsibilities

  • Perform market landscaping to better understand the competitive landscape
  • Create presentations and models to support strategic decision making
  • Build a community of external stakeholders
  • Identify relevant policy and advocacy opportunities
  • Support strategic initiatives and be willing to adapt as priorities change

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing an MBA degree
  • Demonstrated ability to understand financial concepts, corporate strategy, complex technology
  • Self-starter with a proactive attitude, capable of planning, pivoting, and executing tasks independently
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, along with strong organizational abilities
