Medical Billing Payment Poster- EPIC System

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Medical Billing Payment Poster to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with the EPIC electronic health record system and a strong understanding of medical billing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Post payments received from insurance companies, patients, and other payers into the EPIC system accurately and promptly.

- Reconcile payments with billing records to ensure data integrity and resolve discrepancies.

- Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and remittance advice to verify payment details.

- Collaborate with billing and coding teams to address any payment issues or denials.

- Maintain organized records of all posted payments and related documentation.

- Assist in generating reports related to payment posting activities and financial reconciliation.

- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies during all payment posting activities.

- Reviewing and resolving unapplied/unidentified payments and credit balances to help ensure everything is accurately posted and reconciled.

- Proven experience with medical billing and payment posting, preferably using EPIC or similar EHR systems.

- Strong understanding of medical billing, coding, and insurance reimbursement processes.

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

- Ability to analyze and resolve payment discrepancies efficiently.

- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical billing or coding is a plus
