The Position: Expediter Manager
The Expediter Manager is responsible for leading the Busser and Runner departments while ensuring exceptional guest service throughout RoadHouse. This position oversees staffing, training, scheduling, coaching, cleanliness standards, and operational execution for all guest-facing areas, including auditoriums, hallways, lobbies, and common spaces.
Expediter Manager duties include:
- Own all responsibilities related to maintaining cleanliness, organization, and presentation throughout the facility, including auditoriums, lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and other guest-facing areas.
- Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and retain Expediter, Runner, and Busser team members in accordance with company hiring standards.
- Enter new hires into company timekeeping, scheduling, and point-of-sale systems as required.
- Oversee the training process for all Expediter, Runner, and Busser employees, ensuring company training standards are consistently followed.
- Develop, coach, mentor, and motivate team members to deliver exceptional guest service and operational excellence.
- Develop and support Trainers and Team Leads within the Runner and Busser departments.
- Conduct ongoing performance coaching, complete employee performance reviews, and provide timely feedback for growth and accountability.
- Manage employee relations matters, administer corrective action when necessary, and partner with the General Manager, AGM and Human Resources to ensure consistent application of company policies.
- Monitor employee time records and make payroll adjustments as needed to ensure accuracy.
- Create and manage weekly schedules for the Runner and Busser departments, ensuring appropriate staffing levels while meeting labor goals and guest service expectations.
- Monitor department labor, productivity, and operational performance, making recommendations to improve efficiency while maintaining service standards.
- Oversee Runner and Busser service standards to ensure auditoriums are cleaned quickly, accurately, and consistently between shows.
- Conduct routine quality inspections of auditoriums, restrooms, hallways, lobbies, and other guest areas to ensure company cleanliness standards are maintained.
- Coach employees on urgency, teamwork, cleanliness, guest interaction, and operational execution.
- Partner closely with the Kitchen Manager, Service Manager, and General Manager to ensure timely food delivery and an exceptional guest experience.
- Assist with guest concerns and service recovery, resolving issues professionally with the goal of exceeding guest expectations.
- Ensure bussing stations, cleaning supplies, operational tools, and service equipment are stocked, organized, and ready for each shift.
- Ensure all Runner and Busser equipment, including bussing carts, cleaning equipment, radios, and other operational tools, are maintained and functioning properly.
- Maintain inventory levels of janitorial and theater operational supplies, ensuring adequate stock to support daily operations and cleanliness standards.
- Monitor for potential theft, policy violations, and operational inconsistencies, taking appropriate action when necessary.
- Ensure employees maintain current Food Handler and Alcohol Server (Title 4) certifications and communicate renewal requirements as needed

- Push, pull, maneuver 125 lb kegs using furniture dolly
Must have the following qualifications:
- Management experience, preferably in the restaurant industry.
- Basic math skills, effective writing and communication skills.
- Must obtain Title 4 certification and Food Handlers Card within 30 days of hire.
- Must be 19 years of age or older.
