You may have experience in equipment assembly, warehouse operations, delivery, construction, mechanics, furniture assembly, or another hands-on environment. Most importantly, you are dependable, organized, curious, and willing to learn.

The Role:

We are looking for an Production Builder / Delivery Driver to join our team in Terrace. This is a hands-on role that combines equipment assembly, warehouse support, and local delivery and pickup responsibilities. You will help ensure new and rental mobility and accessibility equipment is received, assembled, prepared, delivered, and returned safely and efficiently.

You will work closely with the team at the location to keep equipment moving through the warehouse and out to our customers, helping support the day-to-day operations of the branch. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a variety of work, is comfortable working independently, and wants to develop their skills in the mobility and accessibility industry.

How you will spend your days:

  • Build and prepare equipment. You will assemble, set up, and prepare mobility and accessibility equipment for customers and rental use. This may include wheelchairs, walkers, mobility equipment, and other products received at the location.
  • Receive, stage and organize equipment. You will assist with receiving equipment and components, organizing products in the warehouse, staging equipment for assembly or delivery, and ensuring equipment is prepared for its next destination.
  • Deliver and pick up equipment. You will safely deliver new and rental equipment to customers and other locations throughout the region. You will also pick up rental and other equipment as required and ensure it is returned to the branch safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain equipment and work areas. You will clean, organize, and maintain equipment and work areas to ensure products are ready for delivery or customer use.
  • Perform quality checks. You will inspect assembled equipment to ensure it has been put together accurately and is clean, safe, and ready for delivery.
  • Support the branch team. You will work closely with the team to help keep daily warehouse, assembly, delivery, and pickup activities running smoothly. You will be flexible and willing to assist with other tasks as needed.
  • Provide a positive customer experience. When delivering or picking up equipment, you will represent Motion in a professional, respectful, and friendly manner and ensure customers receive a positive experience.

You are also willing to learn about mobility and accessibility equipment and develop new skills.

What you bring:

  • Hands-on skills. You have experience assembling, building, repairing, installing, or working with equipment, furniture, vehicles, or other products. Experience using manual and power tools is an asset.
  • Organization and attention to detail. You can keep equipment and work areas organized and pay attention to detail when assembling and preparing products for customers.
  • Customer service skills. You are friendly, respectful, and professional when interacting with customers and others in the community.
  • Willingness to learn. You are comfortable learning new products, tools, and processes. Previous experience with mobility or medical equipment is an asset but is not required.
  • Physical ability. You are able to lift and carry up to fifty (50) pounds in order to move, load, unload, and prepare equipment.
  • Driver’s licence. You have a valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record. You are comfortable driving regularly throughout the region and safely loading and transporting equipment.
  • Additional requirements. You are able to successfully complete a criminal background check and are bondable.
