Employment Type: Part-Time Contract

Schedule: Part-Time, Pacific Time (PST) Business Hours
Location: Remote

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Epic Bridges / Mirth Implementation Analyst to support interface implementation, integration development, and interoperability initiatives within an Epic environment. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on expertise with Epic Bridges and Mirth Connect, enabling them to design, build, test, and support interfaces between Epic and third-party systems.

This individual will work closely with technical teams, application analysts, vendors, and operational stakeholders to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient data exchange across the healthcare ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, configure, and support interfaces using Epic Bridges and Mirth Connect.
  • Lead interface implementation efforts between Epic and ancillary applications, vendors, health information exchanges (HIEs), and external systems.
  • Analyze business and technical requirements to develop integration solutions.
  • Build, modify, and troubleshoot HL7 interfaces, message transformations, and interface workflows.
  • Support interface testing, validation, and go-live activities.
  • Investigate and resolve interface errors, data quality issues, and message failures.
  • Collaborate with Epic application teams, infrastructure teams, and third-party vendors throughout the implementation lifecycle.
  • Monitor interface performance and recommend process improvements.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, build specifications, interface inventories, and support procedures.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide implementation status updates.
Required Qualifications
  • Epic Bridges Certification (required).
  • Hands-on experience implementing and supporting Epic Bridges interfaces.
  • Strong experience with Mirth Connect development, configuration, and support.
  • Experience working with HL7 messaging standards, interface engines, and healthcare interoperability solutions.
  • Proven experience supporting interface implementations within Epic environments.
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot interface and integration issues.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare workflows and electronic health record (EHR) integrations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $75.00 to $80.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
