Bending Machine Operator II – Skilled Operator - Day Shift in Machesney Park, Illinois at HENNIG INC

The Bending Machine Operator II is responsible for independently operating multiple bending machines while maintaining safety, quality, productivity, and operational standards. This position requires the operator to perform more complex bending operations, inspections, and troubleshooting activities.

Key Responsibilities:

· Correctly load and independently operate two types of bending machines based on product configuration, material type, and manufacturing requirements.

· Read and interpret engineering drawings for both small and large fabricated components, including roof panels, wall panels, flashing, doors, corners, loose base parts, and related assemblies.

· Perform bending operations according to engineering specifications and production standards.

· Perform basic troubleshooting on bending machines.

· Identify routine production issues and take appropriate corrective action to minimize downtime and maintain product quality.

· Use both metric and imperial measuring instruments accurately to inspect parts and verify dimensions.

· Verify completed bent parts against engineering drawings and ensure compliance with specified tolerances.

· Complete fabrication and production tracking documentation accurately and thoroughly.

· Maintain a strong commitment to quality, safety, productivity, and continuous improvement.

· Operate power and/or hand tools.

· Demonstrate safe operation and proper use of forklift and crane.

· Follow all applicable procedures, policies, work instructions, and quality requirements associated with the bending work center.

· Education: High School Diploma/GED required

· Experience: One year of continuous experience in a manufacturing environment operating press brakes or similar bending equipment required

· Reading Ability: Must be able to read and understand English
