This role is focused on the installation, maintenance, servicing, and commissioning of advanced medical diagnostic imaging equipment, ensuring healthcare providers can rely on high-performing and accurate technology in critical clinical environments. You will operate at the intersection of technical expertise and customer support, playing a key role in minimizing downtime and optimizing equipment performance. The position involves direct interaction with healthcare professionals, requiring strong communication, responsiveness, and a solution-oriented mindset. You will manage service activities in the field, from troubleshooting complex technical issues to completing detailed documentation and coordinating preventive maintenance. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where precision, accountability, and critical thinking are essential. You will also contribute to continuous improvement by identifying issues, supporting efficient service delivery, and ensuring high standards of safety and quality in all interventions.
In this role, you will ensure the reliable performance and servicing of medical diagnostic imaging equipment while delivering high-quality technical and customer support in the field.
- Install, service, maintain, and commission medical diagnostic imaging systems at client sites.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues, applying critical thinking to complex equipment problems.
- Manage preventive maintenance schedules and ensure timely execution of service activities.
- Maintain accurate electronic service documentation and ensure compliance with reporting standards.
- Coordinate tools, testing equipment, and calibration materials to ensure operational readiness.
- Interface directly with healthcare customers to provide responsive, high-quality technical support.
- Plan, prioritize, and execute field service activities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate combines technical training in electronics with strong customer service and field-based problem-solving skills.
- Diploma in Biomedical Electronics, Electronics Technology, or a related technical field.
- Experience in field service or technical support roles (healthcare or imaging equipment is an asset).
- Strong computer literacy and ability to use digital service tools and documentation systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
- Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license and valid passport with willingness to travel domestically and internationally for training.
- Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.
- Competitive salary range of approximately CAD $62,500 to $89,500 depending on experience and qualifications.
