Position Overview

Friday Workforce Solutions is seeking a dependable Floor Care Technician for a company in Asheville, NC. This hands-on position focuses on professional floor and surface cleaning, including carpet and upholstery cleaning, tile and grout care, and stripping and waxing VCT flooring. This is a specialized floor care position, not a general janitorial or housekeeping role. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, pays attention to detail, and provides professional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Clean carpets, upholstery, tile, grout, and other hard surfaces.

• Strip and wax VCT flooring using specialized equipment.

• Operate, clean, and maintain floor care tools and equipment.

• Keep company vehicles and equipment clean and organized.

• Assist with minor equipment repairs and maintenance.

• Use mobile devices for job updates, communication, and data entry.

• Complete service records and paperwork accurately.

• Communicate professionally with customers and team members.

• Follow safety procedures and maintain quality standards.

Requirements

• Previous professional floor care experience preferred.

• Valid drivers license and good driving record.

• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.

• Strong attention to detail and dependable attendance.

• Professional communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
