Job Summary: Responsible for accurately pulling orders, packaging, assembling, staging, and loading materials for customer pick-up and/or delivery. This position primarily works outdoors throughout the entire shift in all four seasons and weather conditions.


  • Meet or exceed customer expectations by providing outstanding service and creating a positive customer experience.
  • Follow all company SOPs, policies, and safety procedures.
  • Understand yard layout, bin location systems, and the various products stocked by the company.
  • Assist customers with locating and loading yard materials.
  • Accurately gather, package, and stage materials for shipment and delivery.
  • Complete all shipping paperwork accurately and efficiently.
  • Handle materials and products with care to prevent damage.
  • Safely operate all material handling equipment while adhering to company safety standards and regulations.
  • Assist with stocking racks and shelves as needed.
  • Maintain assigned hilo/forklift equipment in good working condition.
  • Support the Receiving department as needed.
  • Assist with general yard upkeep, organization, and housekeeping.
  • Promote and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Load and unload flatbed trailers of various sizes safely and efficiently.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


  • Ability to communicate effectively and apply commonsense to carry out detailed written and/or verbal instructions.
  • Basic adding, subtracting, multiplication and division skills with or without using a calculator.
  • Computer skills and or computer literate.
  • Must be detail oriented with the ability to maintain accuracy while working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to solve problems involving a few concrete variables.

Education and/or Experience:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Background in Plumbing/Waterworks industry is desirable.


Certifications and/or Licenses:

  • Ability to pass operator exam and drive powered industrial equipment.

  • Regularly required to talk, hear, walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • Frequently lift and / or move 50 pounds and occasionally lift and / move up to 100 lbs.
  • Must be able to fulfill the essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and a safe manner.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include far vision, and the ability to adjust and focus.
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions and vibrations.
  • The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
  • Pass substance abuse screening.
