Staff Accountant in St. Louis, Missouri at EBS Recruiters LLC

Our client is seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, month-end close. This role works closely with internal teams across multiple locations and reports directly to the Controller.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts in accordance with GAAP
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Assist with preparation of financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow)
• Reconcile bank accounts and credit card accounts
• Process intercompany transactions
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and other financial analyses
• Prepare schedules and documentation for audits
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate data entry into the ERP system
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles
• Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close
• Knowledge of debits and credits
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with an accounting or ERP system preferred
