Customer Service Representative in Portland, Oregon at Airport Drayage Company Inc

A full-time Customer Service position is currently open with our local, family owned, transportation company in Portland, OR. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fast paced environment while providing top notch customer service to our customers.

Candidates to be considered for the position must have at least two years of customer service experience, have excellent phone etiquette, be detail oriented and comfortable utilizing various platforms to enter data and communicate with our customers. Candidates with experience in the trucking industry are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor customer portals for new shipments. Accept and process shipments completely.
• Answer all customers’ incoming emails and phone calls in a timely manner. This could include providing status updates on current shipments, quoting future shipments, or giving out charges and proof of delivery.
• Enter each individual shipment, focusing on accurate data input to ensure complete and correct service.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience in a Customer Service position.
• Able to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently and in a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required. College experience would be beneficial.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
• Strong attention to detail, highly organized and ability to problem solve.
• History of consistently meeting deadlines, prioritizing and handling multiple tasks.
• Ability to type and mouse for a full workday with breaks.
• Must be able to pass a TSA background check.
