Job Description

BME Fire Trucks is seeking skilled Tig welders with experience. We are a locally owned Fire Truck manufacturer in Boise, Idaho. BME manufactures wildland fire apparatus used in the US and Canada for wildland fire suppression. Be a part of something that makes a difference in saving lives, homes, and our amazing recreational areas. As a Fire Truck Fabricator, you will be responsible for:

• Welding parts together to form the body and other components of the fire truck
• Welding aluminum, steel or stainless steel materials into structural shapes
• Reading blueprints
• Welding a visually aesthetic product
• Identifying and maintaining dimensional and quality requirements of the build

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:

• Tig welding experience on mild steel, aluminum, and/or stainless.
• Be able to read blueprints of fire truck designs or parts.
• Great attitude and high expectations for the quality of your work. (Our trucks are used in life or death situations and are expected to perform).
• Physically fit – ability to stand, bend, stoop, squat, kneel and climb ladders.
• A strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
• Basic math skills with ability to read tape measure
• Excellent diagnostic skills
• Ability to use plasma torch
• Experience with hand and power tools

BONUS POINTS FOR:

• Pipe Fitting experience
