If you’re ready to join our mission of setting the standard for IT excellence, we are looking for a talented PC Depot Technician I to join our team.

The PC Depot Technician I plays a foundational role in supporting our IT operations by preparing, deploying, and maintaining hardware for both internal teams and clients. This position focuses on hands-on technical work within our IT Asset Management (ITAM) and depot operations, ensuring devices are properly configured, inventoried, and deployment-ready. While much of the work happens behind the scenes, this role is critical to the speed, quality, and reliability of service delivered by our helpdesk and field teams. This role is onsite 5 days a week at our HQ in Frederick, Maryland.

Responsibilities:

  • Configure, image, and prepare desktops, laptops, and mobile devices for internal and client use
  • Perform basic diagnostics, repairs, upgrades, and component swaps on computers and peripherals
  • Assist with receiving, staging, packaging, shipping, and tracking IT hardware
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for devices, parts, and accessories using ITAM tools
  • Install operating systems, software, and standard applications according to documented procedures
  • Provide basic technical assistance to internal users or support teams as needed
  • Document device configurations, setups, and notable issues in ticketing or asset systems
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient depot workspace
  • Collaborate with helpdesk, engineering, and operations teams to support device readiness and deployments
  • Participate in occasional onsite or field-based support tasks, as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or actively pursuing one
  • Internship or entry-level experience in IT support, desktop support, or hardware-focused roles preferred
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems; basic exposure to macOS environments is a plus
  • General understanding of hardware components, peripherals, and device connectivity
  • Exposure to ticketing systems and basic IT documentation practices
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Skills:

  • Comfortable performing hands-on work with computers, hardware components, and peripherals
  • Strong attention to detail, especially with inventory tracking and documentation
  • Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Clear verbal and written communication
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Dependable, proactive, and eager to learn and grow technical skills
  • Ability to follow documented processes while adapting to changing priorities

Why join our winning team?

  • Competitive wages to reflect your experience and skills.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans to keep you and your family healthy.
  • 401(k) with company match to help you plan for the future.
  • Flexible time off policies to ensure you maintain a healthy work-life balance.
  • We are committed to creating a positive impact on society and contributing to a better world--we're involved in our community and encourage our employees to do the same.
  • We are reshaping the industry and the way it thinks about technology and service.
