About the role

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software applications on a variety of software platforms and devices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and specifications.
• Implement and optimize software algorithms for real-time performance and resource-constrained environments.
• Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and debugging of embedded software components.
• Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in embedded systems development.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Solid understanding of embedded systems architecture, microcontrollers, and real-time operating systems.
• Proficiency in debugging and troubleshooting embedded software issues using tools such as JTAG, gdb, or oscilloscopes.
• Familiarity with software development tools and version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience working real-time operating systems(RTOS) (e.g. FreeRTOS, QNX).
• Experience reading schematics and integrated circuit datasheets.

• Experience with ARM Cortex-M/R/A processors or similar embedded platforms.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
• Knowledge of sensor technologies used in autonomous vehicles, including cameras, LiDAR, radar, and GPS.
• Familiarity with safety-critical software development standards (e.g. ISO 26262).
• Experience with embedded Linux development and device drivers.
• Understanding of hardware design principles and digital electronics.

• 5+ years of experience in embedded software development, preferably in C/C++.
• Experience with communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet, and wireless protocols (e.g., Bluetooth, Wi-Fi).
