Powder Coat Associate 1st Shift in Columbia City, Indiana at QuikCut LLC

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Powder Coat Technicians to join our team. The ideal candidate will be

responsible for preparing, coating, and finishing metal and other surfaces using powder coating techniques to ensure

a high-quality, durable finish that meets customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces for coating by cleaning, sanding, masking, or blasting as required.
• Apply powder coating using electrostatic spray guns in a spray booth environment.
• Operate curing ovens and monitor temperature and timing to ensure proper finish.
• Load and unload parts from the conveyor line, ensuring proper handling, ensuring proper counterweights
• are added.
• Inspect finished products for quality, consistency, and adherence to specifications.
• Maintain and clean equipment, spray booths, and work areas.
• Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Record production data utilizing a tablet and report any issues or defects to supervisors.
• Assist with material handling, loading/unloading parts, and other shop duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in powder coating or industrial painting preferred.
• Familiarity with powder coating equipment and techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to lift to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
