Job Description

Senior Product Manager, Ecommerce

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Product Manager, Ecommerce based in Canada.

This is a high-ownership opportunity to lead and grow a rapidly evolving ecommerce business spanning prescription and non-prescription products. You’ll own the ecommerce strategy and P&L while staying hands-on across the storefront, merchandising, product catalog, and conversion funnel. You’ll lead the reimagination of the consumer shopping experience from the ground up, partnering closely with product, design, engineering, and data teams. A major focus will be using proprietary health and veterinary data to create personalized product recommendations and differentiated customer experiences. The role combines commercial leadership, product execution, analytics, and experimentation in a fast-moving environment. It’s an ideal fit for an experienced ecommerce product leader who thrives with significant autonomy and enjoys building rather than simply managing.

Accountabilities:
  • Own the ecommerce P&L across prescription and non-prescription products, setting targets and driving performance across revenue, margin, and profitability.
  • Define and execute the ecommerce product strategy, identifying high-value opportunities based on customer needs, market trends, platform data, and commercial performance.
  • Lead the complete storefront experience, including homepage, collection pages, product detail pages, merchandising, promotions, bundles, subscriptions, and other selling mechanisms.
  • Drive the full reimagination of the ecommerce storefront from concept through execution, working closely with creative, UX, product, and engineering teams.
  • Own the consumer conversion funnel from landing through checkout, establishing a testing roadmap and using quantitative and qualitative insights to improve conversion and customer experience.
  • Manage the product catalog and underlying product data, including item metadata, onboarding, performance reviews, assortment decisions, and product lifecycle management.
  • Develop assortment and merchandising strategies across prescription and OTC categories while balancing customer needs, commercial potential, pet-health relevance, and brand trust.
  • Evaluate and recommend CMS, catalog, and item-management technologies, clearly articulating the trade-offs and scalability implications of different solutions.
  • Monitor competitors, market trends, emerging brands, and new product categories to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
  • Partner closely with AI and data teams to develop personalized product recommendations using health records and veterinary insights, defining data inputs, recommendation logic, and feedback loops.
  • Build strong cross-functional partnerships with product, design, engineering, data science, and other teams to translate strategy into shipped experiences and measurable business outcomes.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of product management experience in ecommerce, marketplace, or consumer product businesses, ideally within startup environments and with a demonstrated record of driving meaningful revenue growth.
  • Hands-on experience owning a consumer storefront across its full surface area, including homepages, category or collection pages, product detail pages, and product catalog or item-management systems.
  • Proven experience improving consumer conversion funnels with measurable before-and-after results and a strong understanding of experimentation, analytics, and prioritization.
  • Demonstrated P&L ownership, including responsibility for revenue, margins, profitability, and commercial performance.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to interpret data, challenge assumptions, identify opportunities, and turn insights into clear product and business decisions.
  • Strong commercial instincts and the ability to identify market opportunities, develop business cases, and execute strategies that generate measurable results.
  • Experience collaborating closely with product, design, engineering, and data science teams to build and launch consumer-facing products.
  • Exceptional ownership, drive, and self-motivation, with the ability to set ambitious goals, work independently, and remain accountable for outcomes.
  • Hands-on Shopify experience is a strong advantage; alternatively, you should have a clear perspective on the ecommerce CMS and catalog-management technologies best suited to a scaling business.
  • Experience with membership or subscription business models, pet or health and wellness ecommerce, AI/ML-powered personalization, recommendation systems, vendor negotiations, wholesale buying, or marketplace supplier management is a plus.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary of $126,000 CAD.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Life and disability insurance.
  • Flexible paid time off.
  • Mental wellbeing support and resources.
  • Robust holiday schedule.
  • Retirement savings plan.
  • Growth and career development opportunities.
  • Significant opportunity to build and scale a high-impact ecommerce business with substantial ownership and autonomy.
  • Opportunity to work with proprietary health and veterinary data that can enable differentiated personalization and recommendations.
  • Collaborative, high-performing environment where teams move quickly, challenge ideas, and prioritize thoughtful execution.
  • Inclusive workplace committed to diversity, respect, and equal opportunity.
