As the Maintenance Technician – 3rd Shift, You Will...Be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing equipment and facility systems to support safe and efficient plant operations. This role plays a key part in preventive maintenance, continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring equipment reliability throughout the facility.

- Repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment, including conveyors, compressors, motors, and pumps.
- Complete corrective maintenance work orders and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Set up and operate welders, drill presses, grinders, hand tools, and other metalworking equipment.
- Operate mobile equipment, including forklifts, scissor lifts, and articulating boom lifts.
- Support and participate in plant safety, health, and environmental programs.
- Maintain professional and courteous conduct while carrying a company phone during work hours.
- Maintain and promote 5S workplace organization standards throughout the facility.
- Support the Rittal Production System through preventive maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist in identifying equipment issues and recommending corrective actions to improve reliability and uptime.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems preferred.
- Experience operating maintenance and fabrication equipment preferred.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, manuals, and other technical documents.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to write detailed repair reports and communicate maintenance activities effectively.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to learn and utilize maintenance management software for data entry, work orders, and parts research.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to established procedures.
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, twist, reach, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Occasionally lift up to 80 pounds to waist level.
- Frequently lift 25 to 50 pounds to waist level and up to 25 pounds above shoulder level.
- Ability to climb ladders and work at elevations up to 90 feet.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, machinery, dust, and elevated noise levels.
- May be required to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Regular exposure to cleaning solvents, oils, lubricants, and other industrial substances.
- Must be available to work assigned shifts and support operational needs as required.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including:
- Safety-toed footwear
- Safety glasses with side shields
- Hearing protection
- Additional PPE as required by task or location
- Follow all Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and facility safety guidelines.
- Support and maintain a safe work environment for all employees.
