Job Description

Job Title: Digital Media and Podcast Producer
Department: Content Studio
Reporting Relationship: Director, Content and Digital Engagement
Employees Supervised: N/A
Full/part time: Full time
FLSA Status: Exempt C POSITION PURPOSE:
Position supports video production and serves as day-to-day producer for the growing podcast work of the Indiana Historical Society’s (IHS) content studio.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  1. Coordinate the entire cycle of the podcast recording experience
  2. Edit audio and video
  3. Assist with complex studio and field shots
  4. Prepare media for all IHS platforms
  5. Perform other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
  1. Demonstrated knowledge of video production, podcast recording, audio production, and editing software
  2. Ability to collaborate and communicate, especially with those with less media experience
  3. Ability to record and actively monitor clean audio
  4. Ability to work a flexible schedule as projects dictate, such as evenings and weekends
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Wrist & Visual Stamina – Ability to type and focus on a computer screen for prolonged periods of time
Strength – Ability to lift & carry items weighing up to 35 pounds
Physical Movement – Bending, Kneeling, and Crouching In order to reach & pick up items, standing for long periods of time

QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicable degree or two years of applicable experience
