Job Description

Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 6:30 am - 5:00 pm and Saturday 6:30 - 3:00 pm

Job Summary:

The Yard & Utility Associate plays a critical role in supporting daily branch operations by maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient yard environment. This position ensures equipment and materials are properly staged, prepared, and ready for rental or delivery while supporting technicians and drivers with yard logistics. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-focused, and willing to learn, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard and exterior work areas.
  • Load and unload equipment, materials, and deliveries safely and efficiently.
  • Inspect, stage, clean, and prepare equipment for customer rentals and deliveries.
  • Assist technicians and drivers with equipment movement, material handling, and yard logistics.
  • Operate forklifts, skid steers, and other light equipment in a safe manner.
  • Conduct routine visual inspections and report equipment issues as needed.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and operational standards.
  • Support general branch and yard operations as assigned to ensure efficient workflow.
Qualifications
  • Required: Previous experience operating a skid steer.
  • Required: Previous forklift operating experience.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude with a willingness to learn.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe workplace and following established safety procedures.
  • Comfortable working outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to frequently lift and move materials weighing up to 75 pounds.
