Description:
Kennebec Valley Community Action Program (KVCAP), which seeks to strengthen individuals, families and communities through direct services and community collaborations that create solutions to poverty, is looking to hire a self motivated and organized Eligibility Specialist. The Eligibility Specialist communicates with clients to collect required information and materials to conduct application process online, by phone, and in person as needed. Provides information and referrals to clients as appropriate.
Requirements:- Three years’ clerical/office experience including accurate keyboarding and math skills.
- Strong typing and computer skills with the ability to create documents and reports using office applications.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, telephone, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and adhere to deadlines.
- Familiar with KVCAP programs and knowledge of community resources helpful.
- Ability to write legibly and spell accurately.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and have use of a vehicle insured to State of Maine requirements to travel within all of KVCAP’s service areas.
- Ability to pass State Bureau of Investigation, Department of Motor Vehicle, Department of Health and Human Services, Sex Offender Registry and Fraud background checks.
