Position Summary
The Quality Technician plays a critical role in ensuring products meet customer and company quality standards. This position performs inspections, audits, testing, calibration activities, and quality documentation while partnering with production and management teams to support continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
What You'll Do
- Inspect and measure parts using precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, height gages, and other inspection tools.
- Perform first-piece inspections, dimensional layouts, and routine quality audits.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
- Maintain quality records, calibration data, and inspection documentation.
- Identify, document, and help resolve non-conforming products and quality concerns.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, corrective actions, and process improvements.
- Assist with customer quality requirements, PPAP documentation, and internal audit activities.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years of quality inspection or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Experience using precision measuring equipment and inspection tools.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and recordkeeping abilities.
- Basic math skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Knowledge of GD&T, internal auditing, calibration systems, PPAP, or 3D scanning is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk throughout the workday.
- Frequent use of hands for measuring, inspecting, and handling parts and equipment.
- Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, crouch, and reach.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Visual acuity sufficient for detailed inspections and reading technical drawings.
- Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments with exposure to noise, moving equipment, dust, and varying temperatures.
