Position Summary

The Commercial HVAC Technician is responsible for servicing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and commissioning commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The technician will work on a variety of commercial HVAC equipment and systems and is expected to accurately identify system issues and complete repairs in a safe, professional, and timely manner.

The technician will interact directly with customers, building owners, facility managers, general contractors, and company personnel. The position requires strong technical knowledge, troubleshooting skills, customer service, documentation, and the ability to work independently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Commercial HVAC Service

• Service, maintain, diagnose, and repair commercial HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and control-system issues.
• Inspect HVAC equipment and identify defective or worn components.
• Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled service.
• Perform equipment startups, testing, and commissioning.
• Verify equipment operates safely and efficiently.
• Make necessary adjustments and repairs within the technician's qualifications and authorization.
• Communicate equipment conditions and repair recommendations to customers and management.
• Complete service calls accurately and professionally.

Commercial HVAC Equipment

The technician may service and troubleshoot equipment including:

• VRF Systems
• Package units
• Ductless mini splits
