Job Description
Merchandising & Product Support
- Manage incoming and outgoing shipments of samples and materials as needed
- Review development samples including Bulk, PP (Pre-Production), and TOP samples
- Maintain and update a comprehensive sample log (customer, brand, merchandiser, status, etc.) and coordinate requests w/ plants
- Submit and monitor sample status and ensure timely delivery.
- Follow up on item setups, and update BOM as needed.
- Release tech packs for production and ensure clear understanding of product requirements
Merch/Marketing Coordination
- Coordinate development of product packaging, and ecommerce assets
- Assist with obtaining license approvals, both branded and certifications.
- Maintain the product catalog with additions/updates as needed
- Ensure timely delivery of assets, item setup information, and marketing materials are shared with required departments
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate with product development, sourcing, marketing, and creative teams to align on timelines and deliverables
- Track key milestones for product launches and marketing initiatives
- Coordinate with external partners (retailers, agencies, packaging vendors) as needed

Accountability, Authority, & Responsibility:
The Merchandising Coordinator is accountable for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of product information, sample tracking, and merchandising/marketing deliverables. This role is responsible for coordinating cross-functional activities to support product development and launches, ensuring alignment with internal timelines and customer requirements.
The position has authority to follow up with internal teams and external partners (factories, vendors, agencies) to ensure deliverables are met, escalate delays or discrepancies, and recommend process improvements. Final approvals on product, pricing, packaging, and claims remain with senior management; however, this role is responsible for ensuring all supporting materials are accurate, compliant, and delivered on time.

Education and/or Experience:
- 1–3 years of experience in merchandising, marketing, or retail coordination (utility bedding categories preferred)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple product timelines
- Detail-oriented with an understanding of product specifications and claims
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint); Knowledge of BeProduct and Monday.com a plus but not required
Language Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. The Merchandising Coordinator must be able to:
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to perform basic to intermediate mathematical calculations related to product specifications, costing, and inventory tracking. This includes working with percentages, ratios, unit conversions, and measurements (e.g., dimensions, weights, fill volumes). Proficiency in using Excel for data organization, simple formulas, and analysis (e.g., tracking sample status, timelines, and product attributes) is required.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply logical and practical thinking to carry out detailed instructions and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Capable of identifying inconsistencies in product specifications, samples, or data and resolving issues through cross-functional coordination. Demonstrates sound judgment in prioritizing tasks, escalating risks, and adapting to changing business needs while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

The Merchandising Coordinator role requires a balance of desk-based work and hands-on involvement handling, inspecting & shipping samples. While much of the work is office based, candidates must be comfortable with the physical requirements of a production environment.
Frequently required to stand and walk on hard surfaces (concrete floors) throughout the manufacturing facility for extended periods during inspections, audits, and meetings.
Occasionally required to lift, move, or carry materials up to 30 lbs.
