Position Summary:
** JAMESTOWN, ND - STATE HOSPITAL PROJECT ** The Site Logistics & Safety Coordinator is responsible for supporting both the project's safety program and overall site logistics. This role ensures materials, equipment, and deliveries are organized and available while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient jobsite. The position serves as the primary point of contact for day-to-day site coordination, working closely with the superintendent and project management team.
Primary Responsibilities
Safety Coordination (2-3 Days per Week)
- Assist with jobsite safety oversight and promote a strong safety culture.
- Participate in and help lead weekly toolbox talks and safety meetings.
- Conduct Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) reviews with field crews.
- Perform daily jobsite safety walks and inspections, documenting and following up on corrective actions.
- Attend and contribute to owner, GC, and subcontractor jobsite meetings as required.
- Help ensure compliance with company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
Material & Logistics Management
- Coordinate loading and unloading of material deliveries.
- Schedule incoming deliveries through the Veyor platform.
- Manage material procurement and maintain adequate site inventory.
- Organize and stock standard project materials to support field productivity.
- Coordinate fixture deliveries and manage storage and distribution throughout the building.
- Work with project management to ensure long-lead and critical materials are available when needed.
Site Operations
- Manage daily housekeeping and site organization.
- Oversee daily duties such as:
- Locking up ladders and equipment.
- Ensuring tools are properly secured.
- Coordinating cleanup and dumpster management.
- Maintaining organized material storage areas.
- Identify and address logistical issues that could impact project productivity.
Key Objectives
- Maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
- Ensure field crews have the materials and equipment needed to stay productive.
- Keep the project site clean, organized, and professionally maintained.
- Improve communication between field operations, project management, and subcontractors.
