Position: Outpatient Medical Records Support Staff
Location:1517 Durham Road, Penndel, PA 19047
FT/PT: Part-Time
This position works at the Main Center and serves Outpatient, Transitional Outpatient, Acute Partial and/or Intake departments. The duties are supportive in nature.
Qualifications:
The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Answers and directs incoming phone calls. Process calls with sensitivity and discretion. Takes phone messages, forwards and follows up as necessary.
- Responsible for all clerical duties; data entry, filing, mailing, etc. as assigned.
- Demonstrates a caring, respectful, responsive, and professional manner in all dealings with consumers, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Receives clients and visitors. Demonstrates a commitment to help improve the lives of the consumers we serve and the communities we serve in.
- Maintains confidentiality as per policy and regulation.
- Keeps records and maintains files on all phases of the Medical Records as per regulations and agency policy and procedure, which may include upkeep of physical chart and alerting responsible person to non-compliance and need for follow up to ensure chart is brought into compliance.
- Interfaces and assists with medical staff as assigned to ensure quality care.
- Open and close the facility by ensuring security system is properly on or off with all windows and doors secured, as applicable to whom is in the building.
- Maintains assigned work area in a clean, organized condition and report any hazard immediately to supervisor.
- Define and develop personal training/growth plan with supervisor.
- Carry out all other duties as assigned.
- Provide backup coverage to other staff as directed.
- Complies with all policies and procedures of Penndel Mental Health Center.
- Attend trainings, meetings, and supervision as assigned.
- Engage in safe and hazard free work environment.
- Participates in agency-wide Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives.
- Will adhere to Corporate Compliance Plan and review annually.
Physical Requirements:
- Equipment use including but not limited to computer (including repetitive motions of typing, seeing monitor), copier, fax, printer, shredder, telephone, and voice mail
- Sitting for extended periods of time, walking up stairs, balancing, reaching, bending, stretching, standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
