Under the direct supervision of the Surveillance Manager, this position is responsible for monitoring, detecting, and reporting activities that may compromise the safety, integrity, and compliance of casino operations. The Surveillance Operator plays a key role in protecting team members, guests, company assets, and the overall gaming environment while supporting a professional, discreet, and compliant workplace.**Please note, this is a part-time, casual position**
Key Accountabilities
- Monitors, records, and reports irregular, suspicious, or non‑compliant activities using surveillance systemsConducts continuous observation of gaming areas, cash handling zones, count rooms, and sensitive operational areasEnsures adherence to gaming regulations, internal controls, and company policiesPrepares detailed written reports, incident logs, and statements as requiredDetects and documents procedural violations, advantage play, theft, fraud, or other prohibited activitiesSupports investigations by reviewing, retrieving, and preserving video evidenceCommunicates promptly and effectively with Security, Gaming Operations, and Management when requiredAssists in maintaining the integrity and functionality of surveillance equipmentMonitors access to restricted areas and identifies unauthorized entry attemptsProvides real‑time support during emergencies, disputes, or incidentsMaintains confidentiality and handles sensitive information with discretionBuilds effective working relationships with internal departments while maintaining necessary operational independenceEnsures compliance with licensing laws, gaming regulations, health and safety requirements, and other statutory obligationsPerforms other duties as assigned or directed
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidaysMinimum 2 years of work experience; experience in surveillance, security, or gaming operations an assetServing It Right CertificateAbility to obtain and maintain a valid Gaming LicenseSurveillance or investigative training an assetStrong attention to detail and ability to focus for extended periodsProficiency with computer systems and video monitoring softwareFluency in additional languages an asset
- Primarily office‑based environment within a secure surveillance roomExtended periods of sitting and screen monitoring requiredNon‑traditional work hours, including overnight shifts, will be required
