The Regional Director of Operations (RDO) is responsible for communication, relationship management and creating and leading high-performing regional leadership teams. The RDO is also responsible for the direct oversight and implementation of all Company policies, procedures, service programs and targeted financial budgets for their assigned region.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Visible commitment to the CES mission, vision, and values.

• Emphasize and model the need for collaboration and teamwork.

• Participate in collaborative efforts to identify and develop new programs and services for furtherance of the Company’s vision.

• Consult, advise and assist the Chief Operations Officer (COO) with operational projects, initiatives and specialized tasks.

• Establish and maintain communications and business relationships with affiliate organizations as requested.

• Implement and oversee organizational policy at the facility level.

• Implement all approved strategies and act as change agent to improve outcomes.

• Plan for capital equipment through the budgeting process and obtain approval for capital purchases.

• Work with the Chief Operations Officer and Chief Financial Officer to set and review all budget proposals and implement final, approved budgets.

• Review facility performance against operating budgets and standards, including census development, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and quality measures.

• Utilize real-time reporting to oversee and adjust facility operations for their region.

• Present timely reports on performance as requested by the COO.

• Negotiate professional and service contracts for Company review.

• Collaborate with legislators, regulatory agencies and industry representatives to promote the best interest of the Company and our residents.

• Coordinate regional team meetings, at least monthly, for open, clear and positive communication.

• Maintain qualified personnel in all positions of direct reports and make recommendations for changes as needed.

• Approach assignments confidentially, utilizing considerable discretion, judgment, tact, and diplomacy.

Requirements:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Healthcare Administration or related field.

• 2-4 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

• Must have experience as a Nursing Home Administrator and maintain NHA License in good standing with the State.

• Previous Regional (multiple facilities) experience preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Outgoing and energetic personality.

• Ability to multi-task while being detail-oriented. • Intermediate computer skills.

• Experience with MS Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred. • Experience with PointClickCare, DSSI, and Paylocity preferred.
