Job Description

Position Overview:

Support Mitsubishi HC Capital America, Inc., (MHCA), Asset Management Department by managing the remarketing and sale of repossessed and end-of-lease assets, ensuring timely processing, strong recovery results, and accurate system tracking.

Commitment to Internal Control:

The incumbent accepts the responsibility for maintaining the internal control system associated with the essential duties and responsibilities of the functional areas that the incumbent manages.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities, include but not limited to:

Remarketing & Sales

  • Manage the sale of repossessed and off-lease assets through dealers, auctions, vendors, and direct buyers.
  • Maintain and update online sales channels (website, listings, marketing platforms) with accurate photos, condition reports, and pricing.
  • Coordinate inspections, reconditioning, transportation, and vendor services to prepare assets for sale. Prepare and submit any invoices related to these activities for payment.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with dealers, vendors, and buyers to increase exposure and improve sales outcomes.
  • Monitor performance against recovery and inventory turnover goals.
  • Handle inquiries, verify buyer eligibility, and ensure proper documentation and tax handling.

Asset Management

  • Track and manage all repossessed and off-lease inventory in internal systems.
  • Ensure assets are sale-ready within established timelines (target: 30 days) and sold (target: 90 days).
  • Coordinate with internal teams (Credit, Collections, Accounting, etc.) to support efficient asset disposition.
  • Prepare and manage required documentation (e.g., notices of sale, titles, bills of sale, release letters).
  • Oversee auction activity, dealer coordination, and vendor compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in asset management systems.
  • Manage, monitor, and respond to all email requests coming through the remarketing and AM values box accurately and in a timely manner.

Operations & Process Improvement

  • Support internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Collaborate with management to improve remarketing strategies, processes, and vendor performance.
  • Monitor timelines associated with notices of sale, bankruptcies, and title processing.

Used Truck Evaluations

  • Provide timely and accurate equipment valuations using market data sources (e.g., Black Book, auction data, industry guides).
  • Support credit, collections, and wholesale teams with valuation insights.

KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators):

  • Recovery percentage to annual budget
  • Days in Inventory
  • Call, Comment and Valuation turn time.
  • Day-to-day activities
  • Sources: Activity reports, RSM, Valuation, and EOL Reports, and Weekly and Monthly Inventory Report and review of AM database.

Responsibility and Decision-Making Authority:

  • Develop, present to Asset Management, implement, and maintain enhancements to the Asset Management’s Website/database.
  • Commitment to SOX compliance

Management/Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Act independently to determine appropriate solutions to locate and track inventoried assets.

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual is a plus.
  • Ability to interact with MHCA management, MHCA approved vendors and sales accordingly to fulfill job requirements.
  • Strong ability to adhere to strict management assigned deadlines.

Education and Experience:

  • BA/BS: Business, Communications or Finance preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of similar related job experience, specifically in transportation asset management/remarketing.

Licensing and Certification: N/A

Tools and Equipment Used:

  • Company assigned laptop/virtual pc, copier, fax, phone, and other typical office equipment.

Working Hours:

  • Hours may vary and will require some evening work; frequently requires working 40-45 hours/week depending on business needs.

Physical Demands:

  • Digital dexterity and hand/eye coordination in operation of office equipment
  • Light lifting and carrying supplies, files, etc.
  • Ability to speak to and hear customers and/or other employees via phone or in person.
  • Body motor skills are sufficient to enable incumbent to move from one office location to another.

The position is exempt and the salary will be between $71,100.00 and $80,612.00 with an opportunity to earn a discretionary annual bonus.


The salary range is determined and based on internal equity, market data/ranges, applicant's skills, prior relevant experience and education.
