Nuclear Medicine Technologist in Hannibal, Missouri at Hannibal Regional Hospital

A Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or (ARRT(N)) is responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures, ensuring high-quality imaging while maintaining patient safety and compliance with regulatory standards.

• Graduate of a recognized, approved American Medical Association Council of Education program in nuclear medicine or has the necessary Nuclear Medicine certification required.
• Certification by the ARRT (N) or NMTCB required.
• Proficiency in operating nuclear medicine equipment and related software systems.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and cross-sectional imaging techniques for attenuation correction.
• Familiarity of administering radiopharmaceuticals safely.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
• Empathy and patience when dealing with anxious or uncooperative patients.
• Ability to assess images for quality and troubleshoot issues during scans.
• Quick decision-making in emergency situations.
• Precision in positioning patients and setting up equipment.
