Company Overview
GlacierPoint uses a Direct Store Delivery (DSD) model. This means drivers and sales representatives deliver products directly to stores, stock the shelves, rotate products, and place new orders on-site. This system helps retailers keep shelves stocked with high-demand frozen products and reduces out-of-stock situations.
Job Summary
GlacierPoint Enterprises is seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to sell and merchandise a profitable mix of company products within an assigned territory
This role is responsible for developing strong customer relationships, ensuring excellent product presentation in stores, and achieving assigned sales goals.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, merchandising experience, and the ability to build positive relationships with retail partners while maintaining product availability and visibility.
Responsibilities
- Sales & Territory Management
- Achieve assigned sales and volume targets by key account and across the territory.
Merchandising & Product Management
- Sell and merchandise products according to authorized Plan-O-Grams (POGs) at all assigned accounts.
- Stock shelves, open cartons, rotate product, and maintain proper product placement.
- Ensure product freshness and minimize out-of-stock situations.
- Maintain product visibility to maximize sales and inventory turnover.
- Install shelf tags and pricing where required.
Ordering & Inventory
- Use handheld technology to perform product ordering and other tasks according to company guidelines.
- Work closely with store management and backroom staff to prevent order refusals.
- Ensure accurate product ordering to avoid stock shortages.
Store Support & Resets
- Perform store resets and Plan-O-Gram implementations as requested by management.
- Execute merchandising resets based on account or company needs.
- Communicate promotions, new products, services, and company programs to retail partners.
Communication & Reporting
- Maintain regular contact with customers to promote goodwill and strong business relationships.
- Follow call coverage schedules established by the Regional Manager.
- Report competitive activity, issues, or opportunities to management.
- Submit reports and updates as required.
Additional Duties
- Perform other related responsibilities as assigned by management.
- Execute effective selling, merchandising, and communication strategies to grow sales.
- Maintain excellent relationships with store managers and retail staff.
- Ensure territory is properly prepared for vacation coverage and relief personnel.
Qualifications
- Education
- College education preferred (0–4 years of college)
Experience
- 2–4 years of sales experience preferred
- Grocery, beverage, or convenience store sales experience strongly preferred
- Experience in Direct Store Delivery (DSD) or sales merchandising is a plus
Skills
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a sales territory
- Merchandising and product presentation experience
- Basic computer literacy and ability to use handheld sales technology
