JOB SUMMARY

Ensures that all services are delivered in accordance with the mission statement and SPIRIT values of Carroll Hospital Center. Is responsible for the bed assignment for all hospital patients and the proper notification to payers. Accurately and timely maintains visual bed board tracking special situations with minimal errors. Accurately coordinates bed assignments, transfers and discharges by communicating effectively with nursing units shift coordinators and physician offices to ensure timely admissions with no complaints.

REQUIREMENTS

• Required High School Diploma Must be at least 18 years old to witness patient/guarantor signatures.

• Less than 2 years Detail oriented, able to follow specific routines and processes as taught. Multi-tasked, Ability to prioritize as circumstances dictate/change on the spot. Previous customer service experience. Medical terminology preferred. Required

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

Face to face interaction with the public, obtaining personal information and identification as required for accomplishing the registration process. Must be able to work well in a group atmosphere that is often in close quarters.
