  • JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS
    • Job Summary:
      • Serves as the hospital’s supply chain leader, executing enterprise-wide sourcing, contracting, and procurement strategy to ensure financial stewardship, operational continuity, and clinical excellence. Drives high-level negotiations for medical supplies, capital equipment, and service agreements, consistently delivering measurable cost savings, optimized contract performance, and resilient supplier partnerships within budgetary and timeline constraints.

        Brings advanced strategic thinking to supply chain operations by aligning procurement strategy with organizational goals, value-based care initiatives, and evolving healthcare regulations. Demonstrates a proven record of success in improving supply chain efficiency, reducing total cost of ownership, mitigating risk, and strengthening vendor performance through data-driven analytics and market intelligence.

    • Education:
      • Position requires a bachelor's degree and minimum 5 years experience in supply chain management or related area. Master's degree preferred.
    • Registration/Certification/Licensure:
      • Unexpired, unsuspended driver's license if incumbent may drive as part of his/her routine job duties.
    • Experience:
      • 5-10 years supply chain management with progressive responsibility required; preferably hospital experience. Previous management experience required.
    • Other Requirements:
      • Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.
      • Secures and maintains active membership in the Association for Health Care Resource & Materials Management (AHRMM) and/or the American Society for Hospital Purchasing and Materials Management within 30 days of hire, leveraging these affiliations to remain at the forefront of healthcare supply chain innovation, regulatory updates, and national best practices.
      • Exercises senior-level communication skills to influence and align vendors, suppliers, clinicians, physicians, finance leaders, and senior management. Ensures transparency, collaboration, and accountability across all levels of the organization to drive operational excellence and strategic supply chain outcomes.
      • Applies advanced time management, forecasting, and financial stewardship expertise to optimize budgeting, capital planning, contract timelines, and supply continuity. Utilizes predictive analytics and demand planning tools to proactively mitigate risk, prevent disruptions, and ensure critical equipment and supplies are delivered in alignment with patient care priorities.
      • Leads with vision and accountability, building and sustaining high-performing, engaged teams. Fosters a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, agile change management, and measurable results while aligning performance with enterprise supply chain strategy.
      • Demonstrated proficiency of computer skills necessary to effectively complete position duties including, but not limited to, ADP, Kronos, Meditech, SafetyNet, NetLearning, Performance Manager, Position Manager, and Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
      • May require the ability to drive as part of routine job duties.
