OKSI is seeking a Quality Technician IV to serve as the senior-most floor quality technician, providing expert-level inspection coverage and day-to-day technical leadership for the Quality team during a period of AS9100D compliance activities, QMS modernization, and preparation for a second facility. This is a hands-on role for an experienced quality professional who can operate with minimal oversight, own complex inspection and nonconformance decisions, mentor junior technicians, and serve as the Quality Manager's primary floor-level deputy.

What You'll Do

  • Verify incoming parts and materials against purchase orders and acceptance criteria, and support kitting and cycle counts on the production floor
  • Perform in-process visual and dimensional checks at defined production milestones
  • Own formatting, revision control, and review of quality procedures and work instructions
  • Confirm outgoing product meets labeling, packaging, and shipping documentation requirements
  • Conduct daily FOD prevention walks and log findings in Odoo
  • Own the full calibration program, including scheduling, outside lab coordination, and audit readiness of calibration records
  • Verify that supplier quality certifications on file are current and compliant, and support supplier corrective action requests (SCARs)
  • Document nonconformances, own root cause analysis and corrective action recommendations for significant or recurring issues, and drive disposition to closure
  • Lead internal audits of assigned floor areas and serve as a subject matter expert during AS9100D surveillance and customer audits
  • Mentor and cross-train Quality Technicians I-III on inspection techniques, documentation standards, and floor procedures
  • Track and report floor-level quality metrics, including inspection throughput, NCR trends, and calibration compliance, to the Quality Manager
  • Serve as backup point of contact for floor quality matters in the Quality Manager's
Requirements:
  • NDT Level II certification (per NAS410 or equivalent) or comparable advanced quality/inspection credential required
  • Expert-level command of inspection methods and measurement tools, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges, with the ability to train others
  • Strong working knowledge of AS9100D, ISO 9001, or other quality management system standards
  • Proficiency with ERP or QMS software required; Odoo experience strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of government property management and FAR/DFARS compliance
  • Comfortable working in a production/manufacturing environment, including standing, floor movement, and handling hardware
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in quality, inspection, or manufacturing roles, including demonstrated experience mentoring others
  • Aerospace or defense experience required

Preferred Qualifications

  • NDT Level III certification
  • Internal auditor experience
  • Background in finite element analysis (FEA), optomechanical design, thermal management, or lightweight structures

Education

  • Associate's degree, NDT/technical certification, or equivalent extensive hands-on inspection experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical field, such as physics or mechanical engineering, preferred

Work Environment and Schedule

  • Onsite, full time position
  • Manufacturing and lab environment
  • 1st Shift: 0600 - 1430

Pay and Benefits

  • Hourly pay range: $29.00 - $39.00

Additional Requirements

  • US Person status is required. Candidates with an active security clearance or the ability to obtain one are preferred. Work will be performed on government and defense programs.
